Grandparents’ Day
14th, 18th, 22nd & 25th of February
Dear Parents,
As usual, we are going to celebrate the Grandparents’ Day in a big way. The children are practicing for it. Each day we can see them maturing as they learn to work in teams and strive for perfection. We are really lucky to be teachers and see them growing before our eyes.
We have increased the number of Grandparents’ Days to FOUR this year from three last year and just two the year before. We want the seating to be comfortable.
This year we will be issuing a Guest Entry Pass at a nominal value of Rs.100 each.
The passes are for Grandparents and Parents.
- GREAT Grandparents are exempt.
- Children are also exempt.
But children will have to sit on the basketball court where we will arrange a carpet, audio and a projection screen for them.
Please do not bring other relatives or friends and neighbours. While their desire to be present is a great compliment for our children and teachers, the limitation of space stops us from welcoming them.
About the entry passes. I want to explain it better.
Of course there is a cost aspect. More shows, greater audience comfort, more stage time for children. But also higher costs in lights & sound, hire of generator, busing children & parents, etc etc. That is quite obvious.
There is the aspect of quality. Children learn to be quality conscious and strive for perfection. That is worth everything.
Every child on the stage is an artist, the cynosure of all eyes, proud that she/he is performing for an audience. An audience that WANTS to be there, not because it is FORCED to be there.
We are very proud of our shows.
For Parents of children in other classes:
If you desire to attend a show, do send us an e-mail or a note with your child. We think we should be able to entertain a few requests. We know that many of you really love to see the shows.
Regards
