Batch of 2017, You Do Us Proud
Dearest Children of the 12th batch – the batch of 2017 Congratulations & Celebrations!
Children of Vidya Valley you have done us proud once again!
It is in the DNA of Vidya Valley not to be satisfied with what is! Every year students just have to raise the bar! I feel this excellence happens only because you have pride in yourself and are proud of what you do.
You see Exams as a challenge and not as a problem!
This ICSE result just tell the world that school can be fun and you can still be a topper. You have learnt to take things in your stride and will definitely go places.
What thrills me is that you are ‘all round toppers’ – performing in sports and academics.
To your teachers I say thank you for having the patience to guide you.
To your parents I say thank you for placing their trust in us and allowing us to nurture you into wholesome individuals.
Dear children you have proved that
you have brains in your head.
you have feet in your shoes.
you can steer yourself any direction you choose. (Dr.Seuss)
‘Kids, I am sure you’ll move mountains’!
Class 10 Batch of 2017 you rock!
Every year there is a rush to know – “Who got the highest?” “What was the highest mark?”
Of course it is a great credit to the child and their family when a child performs above expectations because she or he worked very hard. But, for a school it is a little different. We need to know whether we could motivate every child to work hard and perform above their known capabilities.
Once again our children performed wonderfully.
57% of the children scored 90% and above (Best five subjects)
43% of the children scored above 80%
That’s it. No one below that !! How great is that? 81.8%
The credit goes to the children because they are all-rounders. They continued doing everything right till the day of the exam. Athletics and Football and Speeches. And the grand Farewell party on the very eve of the exams.
Significant credit goes to the teachers because they got behind every child and did not let anyone slip through the net! It takes a special dedication to do that.
Nor do allow teachers to skip the Std 9 syllabus and practice Std 10 syllabus for two years till the children are ready to die of boredom. We try and keep every day exciting. ICSE Exams are just another challenge to overcome. No big deal.
We have to mention the children who did specially well. (All SIX subjects)
Sanika Kantak scored a full 100% in Math. She is the proud recipient of the Sundaram Sastry award with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000
In Computer Applications we have four students with a 100%
A special mention of the performance in History/Geography.
The National Average is 16% students scored above 90%.
75% of Vidya Valley students scored above 90%.
In Computer Applications,
the National Average is 39% of students scored above 90%.
at Vidya Valley, 93% of our students scored 90% or more (with four students cracking a full 100%).
But we are most proud of the fact that our children graduate with strong values and good work ethics. That is our greatest achievement.
