Head Girl

Head Girl Speech- 2020

Vidya Valley is it where leaders are found, its where leaders are made. Good morning, I, am Meera Patki, and I stand here before you as a nominee for the post of Head Girl. I would like to thank all my teachers for considering me worthy enough for this honorable post.

I’ve been in this school for exactly a decade now. And every single year in this school has only made me a better person. Vidya Valley has made me more confident, more hardworking, determined, has taught me to be self-motivated; to never give up, to be responsible, to be courteous, to be a good listener; acknowledge everyone’s opinions and concerns, this school has given me a no. of opportunities such as being part of the school B.B team, which has made me a team player and have that spirit of sportsman-ship, the opportunity to be the vice-captain of Jaguar house, and most importantly Vidya Valley has made me a better leader.

So this year, 2020, it is my time to give back to Vidya Valley.

They say true leaders don’t make followers, they make more leaders. And that’s what im gonna do- make you all the best there is, coz Vidya Valley has given me, the best there is. Here at a school like vidya valley, you will be given so many fantastic opportunities and it is essential to seize them in order to achieve and make the most of your time at Vidya Valley.

A school cannot possibly run without discipline. I’m sure all of u will agree that there needs to be much more discipline during our morning assemblies. My aim is to maintain discipline in the school, let your voices be heard and your talents and interests to be shown. I promise to dedicate myself to serving the school, and especially you, my fellow students.

I realized that being the head girl is a challenging role, but I want to graduate knowing that I have done something to change this school for the better. So remember, its Meera Patki for head girl.

Thank you and may the best candidate win.

My Goals for the Year

I am Meera Patki from class 10, elected as the Head Girl of Vidya Valley for the year 2020-21. Vidya valley has made me a better person as well as a better leader. This year 2020, it my time to give back to Vidya Valley, this wonderful institution where you are given so many fantastic opportunities and chances to show off your talents. The very place that made me the person I am today.

I am the kind of person who is dedicated and look for self-improvement. When I say self-improvement, I don’t mean getting good grades in class, or going to the gym to get stronger. What I mean is more of an internal sort of quality. It is about becoming the best person you can be and striving to attain the highest possible level of experience you can. This is the kind of thought that I want to instill in the young minds of Vidya Valley.

I have always admired and respected the previous head prefects. They inspired me; they were my role models. Now I want to be someone they can look up to. I want to be the one to support them, encourage them, communicate with them and inspire them to become the best version of themselves. After all- “leadership is about inspiring people to do things they never thought they could.” I want to learn their strengths and weaknesses, help them out. Let their voices be heard and they’re talents and interests be shown.

But my top priority will be maintaining discipline in the school. A school cannot possibly run without discipline. Discipline aligns us to keep going, keep working, keep dreaming until it is not 100%. That’s the way of success. It’s not just discipline, I will make sure that every student respects the school morals and values, make sure proper language is being used, school rules are being followed and most importantly make them better citizens. I would always be proactive in planning for the school system. I hope that I can act as a bridge between the students and the teachers. I will be the voice of the students. I believe I’ve got integrity, accountability, empathy, humility, resilience, vision, influence, and positivity. I want every single student in Vidya valley to strive for excellence and make Vidya Valley even better than it already is.
